If you are aged between 16 and 18 and want to do beauty then a NABS apprenticeship is for you.

Based in Nottingham at Shine - our exclusive apprenticeship salon ,  you'll be immersed in everything beauty, from massage to nails.

At Shine you'll...

  • study for your NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy
  • work in a real salon, with real customer's
  • learn other functional skills such as literacy, numeracy and IT.
  • be supported by staff and systems to help you with work and study
  • get paid

This is an amazing opportunity and we're looking for the right sort of people to join the team, so you'll need to be:

  • dedicated
  • hard working
  • enthusiastic
  • a team player
  • focused

It's going to be hard work - there is a lot of work you'll be doing throughout your apprenticeship - theory work both at Shine and at home;  practical training from massages to facials; salon administration and building your NVQ portfolio.

At the end of your apprenticeship - that's just 1 year - you'll not only be qualified to Level 3, you'll also have a full year's real salon experience - something that employer's are seriously looking for and in these times something that's going to put you ahead of those coming from traditional college courses.

You'll also get full support whilst you're with us, including:

  • Full tutor support
  • Access to online learning systems to help with your theory work
  • A dedicated Job Finder service to help you find the right job after your apprenticeship

This is a unique opportunity and is only open to 40 students.
